Low Testosterone - Hormone Replacement

Testosterone is a hormone produced by the body that provides a variety of critical functions, including:

  • Stimulation of sexual function
  • Muscle mass and strength
  • Bone hardness and strength

An abnormal low level of testosterone can result from aging, or from a decrease in function of the organs responsible for testosterone production.

You may have low testosterone levels if you experience any of the following:

  • Lack of Energy
  • Low Sex Drive
  • Weak or No Erections
  • Mood Swings
  • Sleep Disturbances
  • Decreased Strength
  • Decreasing Enjoyment of Life in General
  • Depressed Mood
  • Increase in body fat
  • Decrease in bone strength

How do I know if my testosterone levels are low?
The symptoms of low testosterone may be difficult to distinguish from other common medical conditions. A simple blood test taken around the time of your initial consultation can determine if your levels are low and you are a candidate for treatment.

What are my treatment options?
We offer testosterone replacement in a variety of methods, including a daily gel application and injections which are given every 7-14 days. Blood tests are taken to monitor your response several times a year.

Prostate Health

An enlarged prostate is a very common problem experienced in men over the age of 50. Symptoms can include difficulty urinating, waking up at night to urinate, slow stream, and many others. This condition is quite treatable with medication and outpatient surgical procedures. We are experienced providers of two commonly used minimally-invasive treatment modalities for enlarged prostate: PlasmaButton Vaporization and Urolift®. Both procedures are successful alternatives to medication or more invasive procedures and can be performed as an outpatient procedures with minimal downtime.

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men. There has been a lot of controversy recently about the utility of PSA screening, but we believe that with the PSA test and digital exam, prostate cancer can be detected very early, and is curable in the majority of cases.
